I have had the pleasure of knowing Rebecca for a number of years as both a student, advisee and member of the HLGU Honors Program. Rebecca was an outstanding student with superior organizational and communication skills and great enthusiasm for life and the accomplishment of her goals. She is a mature, responsible person with the ability to grasp concepts quickly and analyze information critically. Rebecca is a wonderful writer, and she expresses herself both clearly and with insight.

Rebecca has participated in the HLGU Honors program, and has contributed significantly to this organization as a member. Rebecca was excellent in the classroom, and demonstrated the ability to apply course content to the real world, a skill which will serve her well in actual life situations in which she might find herself.

I believe that Rebecca would be a highly motivated and successful employee and a distinct asset to any organization with which she would be associated. I highly recommend her to you. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about Rebecca.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Jerry Allen and I am a retired Business professor with 41 years of teaching experience currently serving as an adjunct at Hannibal-LaGrange University in Hannibal, Missouri. This is one of those times that it is extremely easy to write this letter of recommendation, especially because I personally like Rebecca. This young lady was a joy to have in class. She appeared interested in the subject matter and what I had to say. She is one of those rare students who would come by my office to discuss what she had learned in class and to give her viewpoint. Academically, she does extremely well in the classes that I have had her in. She has become involved in college life outside the classroom. She plays the violin and piano and has performed with Praise Song, a ministry performance group.

Rebecca is from Indonesia. Both her parents have attained PhD's. From my viewpoint, I believe Rebecca comes from a highly background that promotes high ethical standards and is extremely upwardly mobile. She is bilingual and highly proficient in English. She is socially conscious. She has volunteered her time to help the United Way of Hannibal update and maintain their social media. She has also volunteered her time as a speaker for civic groups.

If I was asked to list her greatest strengths, I would say her logic and critical thinking skills. In addition, she is one of those rare individuals who have not only academic ability, but social intelligence which shows her ability to interact with others.

I can think of no reason that she will not do well in her future endeavors. I also believe that I will be very proud, at some future date, that I can say that I was one of her instructors.

I direct two musical ensembles that include Rebecca, one is a touring group that places us on the road many weekends. It is on the road where you often see people's true character. Rebecca has shown herself to have unswerving integrity, intellect and musicianship. She has served for two years as the on-stage music director of the group and her performance is unflappable.
I have never seen Rebecca rattled in the performance of her duties. However, I have seen her working on things that may not come easy to her. This is when she sits down, drinks coffee, and works on the problem until it is solved. Her perspicacity to acheive the needed result is textbook to those who have had great success in their lives.
Rebecca will be an asset on any team that she is placed in.

I am pleased to write a letter recommending Rebecca Purba for the position for which she is applying.

Rebecca is a student of mine at Hannibal-LaGrange University. In addition to having her in class, I have had the pleasure of assisting her with her Honors Research paper. Rebecca is a well-balanced, intelligent and outgoing student with curious mind and excellent attitude. She is involved in many student activities, most notably as an ambassador to the United Way for the Phi Beta Lambda chapter on campus. Rebecca gets along well with her peers and has proven that through hard work, follow through and team work she can accomplish tasks in a thorough and timely manner.

I strongly encourage you to thoughtfully consider Rebecca for the position for which she is applying. She is an excellent scholar and student. She really is one of those students that you look forward to teaching.
